"Presented here is the most delicate design of Amida Yasurime (radiant Buddha file-finish). The file marks, grouped together, are cut radially outward from the center of the piece to the circumference. The term Amida is the name of Ancient Buddhism and it is interesting to speculate whether this finish was originally intended to have a particular religious meaning, such as to signify its owners faith."
