"Iron plate of a rounded rectangular shape. With top to bottom openings, each side of the seppa-dai. Brass inlay of long wisteria branches on both faces, each side of openings. Also, two leaves at the top and bottom, each face. One leaf is a very early replacement. Very minimal loss of inlay.

Dates to ca. 1450-1500. For its age, this is a very rare piece of work." (Haynes)
