"Large circular iron plate nicely forged and hammered with excellent patina and color. Further study is needed to confirm the presence of an iron fukurin. The hitsu-ana are original to the tsuba. The negative open work (sukashi) is of a sakura (cherry blossom).

This work seems to be of the Muromachi period, ca. 1500-1550." (Long)
7.70cm x 7.50cm x 0.35cm (seppa)
