SHOAMI Tsuba

Tsuba in design of two ginko leaves with stalks, with very fine Kin(gold) zogan detail and silver dots representing 'dew drops'.

Kozuka and Kogai ana.
7.3cm X 6.8cm X 4.5mm thick.

Very Fine example of a Late Northern Shoami Tsuba originating in Edo period (ca.1775).
Openwork with same design on both sides.
Mokko-gata style.
Ginko leaves carving is delicate and picturesque.
