"A work of ca.1500 to 1550, maybe earlier. Very fine iron plate with designed cart wheels and Matsukawa mon at the cardinal points. The rim has many 'iron bones' of all types and shows very good hammer work. A rare example of Kyoto area work." (Haynes)   |
