KATCHUSHI

An iron plate in mokko style shape with noticable yasurime in symetrical order. There are five negative sukashi openings, each of a different representation, which are spaced within everyother yasurime. Only one hitsu is present. The angles and positions of the individual designs add movement to the entire tsuba and enhance the artistic impression sought by the smith.

Accompanied by both a N.B.T.H.K 'GREEN' paper and a Hakogaki by Sato Kanzan.
