A well forged iron sukashi tsuba of the OWARI school. A rounded square shape with a rounded rim. The seppa-dai is a full oval shape with rectangular hitsu-ana of equal size. Great care was taken in the perfectly symetrical design of the parallel bars, two paulownia and the rectangular hitsu-ana. The surface of both faces has been hammered until smooth, giving a feeling of great dignity.
