"A slight mokko shape tsuba of positive sukashi design. A very noble piece with a strong masculine feeling. The forging is good with fine hammer work (tsuchime shitate).
The Owari school is divided into three periods. The first period comprises those pieces made in the Muromachi age of which this is a perfect example. The edge is 'kakumimi koniku'. The iron bones are very prevalent.
