'NOBUIYE'

"Hexagon-shaped iron plate of unmatched forging with dote mimi. This work in particular has a well-ordered cohesive and powerful form with openwork crab design, and carved arabesque pattern on the edge. Udenuki are present and lined. Both hitsu-ana are present and in rectangular shape.

'NOBUIYE' was active during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. Most of the inscriptions are cut with a two-kanji mei." (Long)
