"This iron tsuba with a jijido-doro (ground barrier) and floral design is signed by Nagatsugu, crafted at the request of the Tomita clan, and features silver inlay which appears to be sahari inlay, double hitsu-ana, and uchi-kaeshi (backed edge). The silver flat inlay depicts peonies and camellias. This forged tsuba produces a very high-pitched sound.
It is believed to have been forged by Munetsugu, an unexamined swordsmith known for his famous swords, including the Kiyomaro copy, and crafted by contemporary tsuba maker Nagatsugu. See Haynes Index H 06528 - 06531. There is no evidence as to which of the four Nagatsugu made this tsuba." (Long)
