"Rounded square iron tsuba, made in two parts, then assembled. The dote mimi was made separate from the center cross-shape body. By careful examination with magnifying glass, you can easily view the four areas of connection. The rim is entirely covered with tekkotsu. The shape of the hitsu-ana confirms the age to be early to mid Muromachi period." (Long)
