"A Pilgrimage To A Thousand Shrines.
Mid-Edo period, around the Tenmei and Kansei periods.
Furukawa Jochin was the son of Furukawa Genchin, a disciple of Yokotani Somin. He was a skilled carver. He lived in Bakuro-cho, Edo, and his style was similar to that of his father. Over the course of two generations, he created the unique Furukawa-style katakiribori carving." (Long)
