HOAN OWARI

Provenance: Elliott Long NFS

"Introducing the masterpiece tsuba by "Hoan" as shown here. A well-forged large iron base with a solid chrysanthemum design. It is a well-seen item in the book " Tsuba Collection ," which features a variety of works , and is described as an " old Hoan " work in the description . There is no doubt that this work is the same as the item in the book. However, in the book photo, the two characters "Hoan" are vaguely visible, but the inscription is currently not visible. I repeat, there is no doubt that this is the same as the item in the book.

The period is probably around the Late Muromachi period, and it is thought to be the work of the first and second Hoan." (Long)
