"This is a large tsuba with a frog design on a quince-shaped lotus tsuba, signed Jogetsusai Hiroyoshi (H 01449.0), with double hitsu-ana, high-pitched carving, hair carving, gold and silver grain inlay.
This is a masterpiece with a cute frog peeking through the openwork on a large tsuba with a vertical width of over 8.5 cm. Jogetsusai Hiroyoshi is a disciple of Ichijosai Uchikoshi Hirotoshi (H 01416.0), a master of Mito metalwork.
