"The well-forged jigane shows forging lines at the edge of the tsumi. It features a cross-shaped openwork pattern reminiscent of a Satsuma tsuba, with shadow-like openwork featuring the nine-star and cherry blossom crests, and inlay near the edge of the tsumi. There are some areas of missing inlay and slight rust, but overall there are no noticeable scratches.Dates to ca. 1700-1750." (Long) 7.35cm x 7.05cm x tsumi (edge)approximately 4.1-4.6mm, base approximately 4mm |
