"This is a rare work by "Goto", with delicate and firm openwork on the finest iron base with outstanding iron taste. I have handled many sword fittings so far, but I have never come across the "Goto" inscription, so I believe it is a very rare item. It is a work by a rare artist.

This is 'GOTO' (H 00692.0) of the Shoami family working in Geishu ju, Aki Province. Worked in very strong skillful classic Kyoto Shoami style of the Genroku period." (Long)
