Known as a 'Imperial Chrysanthemum' tsuba, pierced in negative sukashi of 48 petals in two rows. The iron appears well forged and finished to represent great strength.

Kyo Sukashi tsuba of this size and importance were not signed and this particular one received a KOSHU TOKUBETSU KICHO from the early NBTHK.
