"Iron plate in rounded square slight mokko shape. With extensive gold, silver, and shakudo inlays of which none is missing. On the front is a dragon in the clouds done in gold inlay. The waves below done in both silver and shakudo inlay. On the reverse the water is carved with slight gold inlay, the water plant life done in gold and shakudo with the reflection of Mt. Fuji in silver. There are two hitsu-ana of different size and original to the plate. The rim is hammered and very well done." (Long)
Tanaka school style tsuba with classic Tanaka sekigane plugs. Signed as living and working in the area of the Sumidagawa river in Edo.
