"Round iron tsuba with sukashi design of three inome (boars eye) equally spaced apart. The uchikaeshi rim displays many tekkotsu (iron bones). With kozuka and kogai hitsu-ana original to the tsuba. This work seems to be of the late Muromachi period, ca.1500. Such excentric work is very appealing." (Long) |
