"Iron sukashi tsuba of mokko-gata shape. Ginger leaves decorate the top and bottom while wild geese fill both sides. The delicate carving, thin lines, rounded rim and half-moon shaped hitsu-ana are all characteristics of the Kyo-Sukashi school. Dates to ca. 1500. In excellent condition."
