"Iron plate tsuba with hammered and folded rim. Under the folds, there is residual black lacquer and minimal rust. The age seems to be Momoyama. The inlays of gold, brass, and copper show wear from being mounted. The hitsu-ana is original to the tsuba and under magnification, shows a flange along its edge on both sides." (Long) |
